The Incident"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It was summer and terribly hot.\u00a0 Our friend Jorge called us and asked six of us to go to Bordeaux.\u00a0 He was organizing a concert with three unknown French groups.\u00a0 We didn&#8217;t miss the event.\u00a0 We had dinner with Jorge and the members of the groups.\u00a0 In total, 17 of us were having dinner.\u00a0 Up to this moment everything was quite normal, but to tell the truth the atmosphere was a bit tense.\u00a0 I noticed one of the guys eating at the table.\u00a0 He was quiet and had an unhealthy look.\u00a0 A freak.\u00a0 Suddenly something really awkward happened.\u00a0 One of the musicians launched himself across the marble table towards this guy and started hitting him.\u00a0 In less than a second there was a big fight going on between the five members of the band.\u00a0 More than a progressive dinner it looked like the Wild West or a Thrash Metal party in a squatter house with postcard punks high on amphetamines.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I remember that one of our friends&#8217; girlfriend came with us on that trip for the first time.\u00a0 We tried to explain to her that what she had seen wasn&#8217;t at all usual and that <em>symphos <\/em>were peaceful people and blah blah blah.\u00a0 She didn&#8217;t believe us and that was the first and last progressive rock concert she ever attended.\u00a0 At least she didn&#8217;t break up with our friend, even though they had only been going out for a week.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">At Bordeaux we saw <em>la creme de la creme <\/em>of the progressive bands that were active during the 90s.\u00a0 I was lucky enough to attend dinners and parties with groups such as <em>Flower Kings, Spock&#8217;s Beard, Porcupine Tree, Riverside<\/em> and so on.\u00a0 Those were the days!<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It was summer and terribly hot.\u00a0 Our friend Jorge called us and asked six of us to go to Bordeaux.\u00a0 He was organizing a concert with<span class=\"excerpt-hellip\"> [\u2026]<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":966,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"image","meta":{"ngg_post_thumbnail":0,"footnotes":""},"categories":[35],"tags":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v22.7 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>6.
